In this project Joanna Dark took on the legacy of Agnieszka Osiecka and Jeremi Przybora, arranging their work into subtle, beautiful jazz songs. Without striving for ultra-modernity, she followed the trail of sensitive, emotional interpretation to extract special values from the popular hits: a mood and sound worthy of the subtlety of the Przybora-Osiecka duo.
“The idea was born from the longing to sing songs with beautiful lyrics and captivating music. From the memories of a couple reunited by feelings for a short moment. A feeling that left me with gems of songs. But also out of a longing to make music with my great jazz friends.
This is our jazz world of Agnieszka Osiecka's songs and Jeremi Przybora' - Joanna explains the genesis of the album.
